Levaquin

Levofloxacin, with the product name Levaquin, is an anti-bacterial pharmaceutical product sold in the United States by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, a division of Johnson & Johnson. Levaquin is commonly used in the treatment of all types of infections, including urinary tract, abdominal infections, as well as bacterial pneumonia. The drug was first approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1996.

The most serious side effect linked to Levaquin has been the risk of serious tendonitis, with a number of users experiencing the rupture of a tendon. The FDA has received reports of injury to tendons throughout the body, including connective tissue in the shoulder, elbow, hand and ankle. Other frequently reported side effects include diarrhea, constipation, nausea or vomiting, insomnia and abdominal bloating or gas, as well as dizziness, headaches, rash or itching, and vaginal discharge.

If you or someone you love has suffered injury after using Levaquin, GetLegal has the tools and resources to help you find skilled legal representation to protect your rights. Visit our attorney directory, look for your geographic location and find the best lawyer for your situation.
